Croatia is home to over 1,200 islands in the Adriatic Sea, many of which draw people who want to enjoy island-hopping and basking in the sun during the summer months. Nature lovers will enjoy hours of outdoor fun at Stari Grad Plain on the island of Hvar and the Plitvice National Park in central Croatia.

Croatia has a tumultuous history that dates back as far as the 7th century, giving it a good selection of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The main cities of Zagreb, Opatija, and Dubrovnik feature ancient churches, intriguing museums, and some of the Croatia’s most popular historical masterpieces.

The Stradun is the main thoroughfare – an elegant strip full of cafes and stately buildings. The Square of the Loggia is a popular meeting spot, featuring the Loggia of the Bells which dates from 1480.
