Puig Major is the highest peak on the island and an exciting climb for outdoor adventurers and enthusiasts. The peak is located in Mallorca's Serra de Tramuntana range and stands at 1,445 metres above sea level.
The mountain is part of a military zone, so the absolute summit is off-limits to the public. You can hike or cycle close to the top, however, with the reward of seeing most of the island from the vista point. The hike is moderate to difficult, so it’s best for experienced hikers and mountain cyclists.
