Good to know when visiting Morecambe Beach

Unfortunately, dogs are prohibited on the beach during peak season between May 1 and September 30. During the off season, dogs are welcome in the area, and families and pets alike can enjoy the quiet seaside. Morecambe Beach has some of the largest mudflats and the largest span of inter-tidal sand in the United Kingdom.

Unlike most British beaches, Morecambe beach enjoys good public transport. Regular trains arrive into the town from Lancaster and Preston Station, both of which are on the West Coast Mainline, which connects major cities such as Birmingham, London and Glasgow.
