Door County in Wisconsin is situated between Green Bay and Lake Michigan, famed for its stretch of lakeside shoreline, beaches and wealth of nature parks. To explore local history, the Cana Island Lighthouse dates to the 19th century and features scenic views and tours of the keeper’s quarters. The Door County Maritime Museum showcases exhibits and artefacts that explore the seafaring history of the region. Wine lovers will enjoy exploring the local wine country with tastings, tours and events at places like Door Peninsula Winery, Simon Creek Vineyard and Winery, Door 44 Winery and Stone’s Throw Winery.
