What you need to know before you go

Estes Park in Northern Colorado is famed as a base to explore the vast Rocky Mountain National Park with miles of hiking trails, wildlife viewing and panoramic views. The park is home to elk, bears and a variety of other wildlife and the hiking trails wind through forests, tundra and craggy peaks. Other outdoor adventures can be had here at the Roosevelt National Forest, and the Aerial Tramway allows visitors to ascend Prospect Mountain for scenic valley views. Visitors can also learn about local history at the Estes Park Museum.

For other adventures, the Open Air Adventure Park offers an outdoor aerial obstacle course to navigate with climbing, suspension bridges and other excitement. Family fun can be had at the Fun City amusement park with thrill rides, a giant slide, games and food. The Estes Park Ride-A-Kart offers go-karts, bumper boats and other games and entertainments.
