Mackinaw City is a village on Michigan’s Lower Peninsula offering scenic bridges, iconic and historic locales, endless wilderness parks and the Lake Michigan shoreline. From Mackinac Bridge which crosses the Straits of Mackinac, you’ll take in panoramic views. At Colonial Michilimackinac, you’ll explore a reconstructed fort from the 18th century that once served as a fur trading post. The Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park hosts ziplines and extreme adventure activities. The Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum allows you to get on board and tour a historical ship. For unusual, whimsical displays featuring taxidermised animals, take a visit to the Wacky Taxidermy and Miniatures museum.
